A few simple steps before your appointment can make a huge difference to how your property looks online. Don’t worry, we’re not expecting perfection. These tips just help us capture your home at its very best.

Declutter the Space

* Tidy away everyday items such as coats, shoes, washing, bags and paperwork
* Clear kitchen and bathroom surfaces where possible
* Hide wires, chargers and extension leads if you can
* Remove magnets, notes and paperwork from the fridge
* Make beds neatly and straighten cushions
* Put bins, cleaning products, pet bowls, litter trays and puppy pads out of sight during the shoot

Storage is your friend for the day. Wardrobes, cupboards, drawers and even the car can help quickly clear spaces.

Let the Light In

* Open all blinds, curtains and internal doors before we arrive
* Turn on lamps and lights if rooms are naturally dark
* Natural light always works best, even on a classic grey British day

If you have neutral rooms, a few simple finishing touches like flowers or a fruit bowl can help add warmth and colour naturally.

Outside the Property

This is a big one and often overlooked.

* Move cars off the driveway where possible
* Put bins out of sight
* Tidy garden furniture and remove anything temporary or cluttered from outdoor spaces
* If possible, give patios, driveways and entranceways a quick sweep

Clear outdoor spaces help the property feel larger, cleaner and more inviting online.

Give It a Quick Clean

You don’t need a full deep clean, but a quick once-over goes a long way.

* Hoover carpets and mop obvious marks
* Wipe kitchen sides, mirrors and glass
* Dust surfaces and TV screens
* Check for streaks on stainless steel or glossy units

The camera picks up more than the eye does, especially with dust, streaks and clutter.

Pets

We love furry family members, but for photography it’s usually best to keep pet items tucked away during the appointment where possible.

Food bowls, litter trays, beds and toys can distract from the space in photos.

That’s it. Nothing too stressful, just a few simple touches that help your property look its absolute best online.
